Sales Engineer – Automotive Industry
We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented Sales Engineer to join our team supporting Nissan. This role is perfect for someone with experience in automotive parts sales and project management, especially with Japanese automotive background.
You’ll play a key role in product development, pricing strategy, cost management, and customer relationship management. This is a hands-on opportunity to lead programs from concept through mass production, working closely with cross-functional teams both domestically and internationally.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and support all phases of OEM automotive part sales—from quoting to delivery
- Negotiate pricing, cost-downs, and resolve reimbursable cost issues with customers
- Manage customer communications and expectations, acting as the primary project contact
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and logistics teams to meet customer needs
- Coordinate with global stakeholders to align on pricing, forecasting, and production
- Drive regular meetings to track action items and ensure smooth project execution
- Stay on top of customer demand changes and industry trends
What You Bring:
- 1–3 years of experience with OEM automotive suppliers (Japanese OEM experience preferred)
- Strong project management, negotiation, and communication skills
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, quoting, and cost controls
- Comfort working in bilingual environments (English and Japanese exposure a plus)
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and lead meetings confidently
- Familiarity with electronics manufacturing and Japanese business culture is a plus
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or Marketing preferred
Compensation: $85,000–$91,000 per year (based on experience)
